CHURCH IN THE REAL, 3000 Blue Ridge Rd, Raleigh NC. Rainbow Skies and Butterflies is offering 2 six hour bus painting summer camps! Working together as a team we will completely transform a bus into a work of art! Anyone and everyone (that has some painting experience  are welcome to join us!  Children must be at least 10 yrs old, and able to paint independently--adults are welcome too!!! The Coalition of Concerned Citizens for African American Children will host a seminar this Saturday to show parents how to help their children succeed in school. Dudley Flood, a retired associate state school superintendent, will lead the discussion. The seminar will run from 10 am to noon at Martin Street Baptist Church. The coalition is also seeking retired educators to help it establish support groups for parents who may need assistance this school year. This is being sponsored by Dan Goforth's "Kingdom to the Streets" ministry and Crossroads Fellowship. The primary focus of this event will be to 1) Do identification repentance for the sins of our forebears in our city, and 2) (MAINLY!) to BLESS the new Fayetteville Street, the heart of our city, and the greater Raleigh area. Two special guests will be joining us--they have just received word from the mayor's office that Mayor Charles Meeker is planning to be there, AND the superintendant of the Fayetteville Street building project, Gary Pipkin of the T.A. Loving Company. THEN, at 6:30 on Sunday evening we are going to have a God-Party/worship celebration. You are invited to that, as well. They would LOVE for you to come and add your voice and blessings with ours. What an amazing thing God is doing!
